Here we are at the beginning of a New Year and New Decade.
It’s been 6 Months since I last wrote a blog – 6 Months! – where did those months go?!
If you have been following me on Social media my intermittent posts will have shown that in that time I have become an empty nester and have started and finished my first term back at university – I have learnt so much that I would like to share with you.
So let us start at the beginning…your word of the year.
At beginning of each new year I choose a word, an intention, something that will support me to become the person I need to be in order to have the results that I desire by the end of the year. Last January my year started with the word ‘possibilities’ – I didn’t know exactly where I was heading but I knew that my life would be changing with my son leaving home and that for new things to come into my life I would need to be open to possibilities. It resulted in me taking a huge leap into the unknown and having and adventure far beyond my expectations.
What will your word be?
What do you want to see happen by the end of 2020? it doesn’t need to be very specific or realistic, just an idea about where you would like your work or personal life or relationships etc to be headed (for example I want to complete my MSc and change the direction of my work)
Who do you need to become to achieve that? (I need to become courageous)
What quality would you need to have in order to become that person (My word of the year is ‘Courage’ as this is the quality I need to achieve what I want to achieve)
